Dr. Roberto Amon Cabelli

Consultant Psychiatrist with Expertise in Anxiety Disorders, OCD, Mood Disorders, and Psychopharmacology

I earned my Medical Degree from the University of Concepción and completed my residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Chile. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Neurosciences, with a thesis focused on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

For more than 15 years, I have worked in the assessment and treatment of a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, mood disorders, and complex treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions.

I currently live in Israel, where I maintain a private psychiatric practice dedicated to the comprehensive assessment and treatment of adults with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, mood disorders, and complex treatment-resistant presentations.

Previously, I worked as a Staff Psychiatrist at Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa, Israel.

Throughout my academic career, I have served as Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Chile, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Universidad de los Andes, and Assistant Professor in the Master’s Program in Neurosciences at the University of Chile.

I am a member of the Israeli Medical Association, the Israeli Psychiatric Association, the Chilean Society of Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurosurgery, and an International Member of the American Psychiatric Association. I am also a member of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP).

My academic work includes authorship of several book chapters on anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. I am co-editor of the book Prevention of Suicide and have been actively involved in clinical and academic research in psychiatry.

Over the course of my career, I have directed and led several psychiatric services and institutions and have delivered more than 150 national and international lectures and conferences on psychiatry, psychopharmacology, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, mood disorders, and neuroscience.
